Grow your business with clarity, not guesswork

We work with small and mid-size companies across the UK to fix what slows them down: unclear strategy, leaking margins, and teams pulling in different directions. You get a concrete plan and the support to carry it out.

Who we are

A small, focused consulting practice that treats your problems like our own.

Founded by operators, not academics

BizGrowthGuides started in 2019 when our founding partners left corporate roles at two FTSE 250 firms. They had spent a combined 22 years watching expensive strategy decks gather dust on shelves. The idea was simple: deliver advice that owners actually use.

We keep our client roster intentionally small. Right now we take on no more than twelve active engagements at a time, because deep attention produces results and shallow advice does not. Every engagement is led by a senior consultant with at least ten years of hands-on operational experience in the client's sector.

What makes us different

We tie part of our fee to measurable outcomes agreed before the project starts. If your gross margin target is a five-point improvement within nine months, that is the yardstick we both use. No vague "transformation roadmaps." You see a number move, or we share the downside.

Our clients have ranged from a seven-person logistics firm in Cardiff to a 200-employee SaaS company in Bristol. The common thread is owners who want honest feedback and are ready to act on it quickly.

What we do

Six core service areas, each designed to solve a specific bottleneck in your business.

Revenue growth strategy

We audit your sales pipeline, pricing model, and customer acquisition channels. Then we build a 90-day plan with weekly targets your sales team can actually hit. Most clients see a 12-18% revenue lift within the first quarter.

Operational efficiency

We map every process from order intake to delivery, flag the steps that waste time or money, and redesign them. A recent manufacturing client cut their order-to-ship time from 14 days to 8 after a six-week engagement.

Leadership coaching

Fortnightly one-on-one sessions with your leadership team, focused on delegation, decision-making speed, and conflict resolution. We use structured frameworks drawn from behavioural psychology, not motivational platitudes.

Digital readiness assessment

We evaluate your current tech stack, data practices, and digital skills gap. The output is a prioritised investment plan showing which tools will give you the highest return per pound spent over the next 18 months.

Financial restructuring

Cash flow problems rarely fix themselves. We renegotiate supplier terms, restructure debt schedules, and build rolling 13-week cash forecasts so you always know where you stand. One retail client avoided insolvency and returned to profitability within five months.

Market entry planning

Thinking about expanding into a new region or launching a new product line? We run competitor analysis, regulatory checks, and demand sizing. You get a go/no-go recommendation backed by real data, not hunches.

How we work

Four stages, typically completed in 8 to 14 weeks depending on scope.

1

Discovery call

A 45-minute conversation where we learn about your business, your frustrations, and your goals. No charge, no obligation. If we are not the right fit, we will tell you and suggest someone who is.

2

Diagnostic deep-dive

We spend one to two weeks inside your business: reviewing financials, interviewing key staff, and observing daily operations. This phase produces a written diagnostic report with findings ranked by impact.

3

Action plan delivery

We present a prioritised action plan with owners, deadlines, and KPIs for each initiative. You approve, adjust, or reject items before any work begins. Nothing moves forward without your sign-off.

4

Implementation support

We stay involved during execution. Weekly check-ins, progress tracking, and course corrections keep the plan on track. At the end, we run a formal review comparing results against the targets set in stage three.

Client feedback

Hear from business owners who have been through the process.

"They found £180,000 in annual savings we had completely overlooked. The diagnostic report alone was worth the fee. Our warehouse team now runs two fewer shifts per week with the same output."

"I was sceptical about consultants. These lot changed my mind. They sat with my team, understood the real problems, and gave us a plan we could follow without hiring anyone new. Revenue is up 23% year-on-year."

"The cash flow forecasting model they built for us is something we use every single Monday morning. Before that, I was guessing. Now I can see exactly where we will be in 13 weeks and plan accordingly."

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the things prospective clients ask most often.

How much does an engagement cost?▼

Our diagnostic phase starts at £3,500. Full implementation engagements range from £8,000 to £25,000 depending on company size and scope. We quote a fixed fee before work begins so there are no surprises.

Do you work with startups?▼

We work best with businesses that have been trading for at least two years and have revenue above £500,000. Pre-revenue startups usually need a different kind of support than what we provide.

Can you work remotely?▼

Yes. About half our engagements are fully remote. For the diagnostic phase, we prefer at least one on-site visit because observing operations in person reveals things that video calls miss. After that, weekly calls and shared dashboards keep everything on track.

What industries do you specialise in?▼

Manufacturing, professional services, logistics, and technology are our strongest sectors. We have also completed projects in retail and hospitality. If your industry is outside those, we will be upfront about whether our experience is deep enough to help.

How quickly can we start?▼

Typically within two weeks of the initial call. If we are at capacity, we will let you know during the discovery conversation and give you a realistic start date rather than stringing you along.
